Explore the Upper Lusatia region in all directions. There is so much to discover in the Lusatia region that you will either stay for a long time or keep coming back. In 10 minutes you can reach Zittau, known for the “Zittau Lenten Veils,” which attract visitors from all over the world. A leisurely ride on the over 110-year-old steam narrow-gauge railway takes you from Zittau to the spa town of Jonsdorf and to Oybin. In Oybin, the historic castle and monastery complex from the 14th century is worth seeing. The dreamy ruins have inspired artists like Caspar David Friedrich and have provided a fabulous backdrop for knight games and festivals since the Middle Ages. In Jonsdorf, visitors can marvel at the large forest stage and the magnificent butterfly house. Fürst-Pückler-Park, north of Görlitz, is one of the most beautiful landscape parks in the world. The park was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site as a German-Polish heritage. The German-Polish European city of Görlitz is also one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Zittau Mountains in Upper Lusatia

The smallest mountain range in Germany is located in the Saxon Upper Lusatia, at the border triangle of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany. Fairytale sandstone creations, volcanic remnants, and rock formations can be admired along the hiking trails. The most famous are the “Kelchstein” and “Scharfenstein” rocks, also known as the Zittau Matterhorn. In winter, you also have the opportunity to ski. The Giant Mountains in Poland
