In the winding rooms, each as unique as the castle itself, you will feel transported back to the time of the castle lords. The hotel offers 75 rooms and suites in various categories. In the old Renaissance building and in the tower, you will find our Superior double rooms, our suites, and some Deluxe rooms. Our romantic wedding suite is also located in the historic tower. In the modern but stylish extension facing the park, we offer our Standard and Deluxe rooms. Dogs are welcome with prior notice for a fee of €15 per night, except in the castle rooms.
Tower-Suite
The tower suite in the Schlosshotel Althörnitz has been newly renovated. It has a separate bedroom and is between approx. 60 m² in size. Two extra beds are available in the suite.
The suite has a hairdryer, flat-screen TV, telephone, free WLAN and is located in the old castle building.
Junior Suite
The Junior Suites at Schlosshotel Althörnitz offer plenty of space with approximately 30-35 m² and are all newly renovated. These tower rooms are located in the castle building. All rooms have a hairdryer, flat-screen TV, telephone, and free Wi-Fi.

Deluxe Castle Room
Our Superior rooms are approximately 22-25m² in size and all newly renovated. They are all located in the castle building and offer partial views of the valley. All rooms have a hairdryer, flat-screen TV, telephone, and free Wi-Fi.
Deluxe Room
Our Deluxe rooms offer ample space with approximately 22m² and are located on the ground floor of the castle extension. All rooms have been newly renovated and welcome you with modern castle ambiance. All rooms have a terrace, hairdryer, flat-screen TV, telephone, and free Wi-Fi.
Classic Room with Balcony
The Classic Double Rooms, with a size of approximately 22 m², are located on the first floor of the more modern castle extension. The rooms have a balcony and are partially renovated. All rooms have a hairdryer, flat-screen TV, telephone, and free Wi-Fi. Some of the rooms also have a bathtub.
Classic Attic Room
The Classic Double Rooms, with a size of approximately 18 m², are located on the second floor of the more modern castle extension, have sloping ceilings, and are partially renovated. All rooms have a hairdryer, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Some of the rooms also have a bathtub.
Family Suite
The Family Suite at Schlosshotel Althörnitz is also located in the old castle building. The suite has a separate bedroom and offers extra space with approximately 70 m². Here, you can take a few days off as a family. Two extra beds are possible in this suite. All rooms have bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, flat-screen TV, telephone, and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is included.

The story
Schlosshotel Althörnitz
The two octagonal towers of the castle rise proudly into the sky. They flank the entrance to the palace with their welsh bonnets. The tower on the left and the castle itself were built between 1651 and 1654 by the Zittau master builder Valentin for the mayor Dr Christian von Hartig. The smaller tower on the right was added as a stair tower in 1853 and the porch was built in 1892.
